Roller Rage Enters Day 3 With The Best of the Best in Banked Track
While most of the bouts were lop-sided wins, one bout on Friday really stood out.
On Friday and Saturday, January 16~17, 2026, the Arizona Derby Dames had hosted Roller Rage, an open gender banked track tournament featuring "borderless" teams from across the country. This year's Rage featured 13 teams. A 14th team, Rollin' With The Homies had to back out in the final days leading up to the tournament. Most teams played 3 games during the tournament, Clown Town played 4 games. A total of 20 games with two 15-minute halves were played. On Sunday, January 18, there will be four more games, including two at full length (four 15-minute quarters) to determine first through fourth place in two separate brackets.
While most of the games were wide margin wins and one has made our DerbyData "Arizona's Top 30 Blowouts" list, the most exciting game so far was Game 8 played on Friday between Awesome Skate Stars and Midway Magic. This was a wild game with 9 lead changes. Going into the final jam with the score 100~91 Midway, Awesome's Falcon Punch comes up to the jammer line against Holly Ween for Midway Magic. Falcon quickly breaks and gets lead jam. Falcon would then take their first scoring pass on the backstretch. Holly Ween would get caught up but passes the star to Reaper and now both teams have scorers. Falcon Punch would then breeze by the pack including Reaper through the inside at the turn 1/2 apex for their second scoring pass.

Falcon would pick up a third scoring pass in the turn 3/4 apex and then the jam reached natural conclusion. Falcon Punch would pick up 15 points on that final jam to Reaper's 4 points and would put Awesome over the top, winning the bout 106~104.
While at the time of this writing (Sunday at 6:15AM AZT) the Arizona Derby Dames has made no official announcements for Sunday's matchups, based on the stats as we see them, we are predicting that for the third place bouts, we will see Colorado Banked Derby vs. Team Badass Derby and we will also see Awesome Skate Stars take on Midway Magic on a rematch from that legendary Game 8. For the Championship Bouts, we should expect Iron Front vs. Lockeford Elite and Roll Modelz vs. Clown Town. Again, this is not official. AZDD should be announcing the matchups later this morning.
These are the unofficial statistics from Michi-chan Sports of the pool play on Friday and Saturday:
