Bananas return to Fenway. Animals to play in PA.
Jessie Cole returns to his childhood memories in Boston while the Tailgaters return to take on the Party Animals in Lehigh Valley.
Banana Ball returns for another weekend of simultaneous fun, trick plays and to make more fans first memories.
The 22-23 Savannah Bananas will be headlining at legendary Fenway Park in Boston, home of the Red Sox, taking on the 2-9 Firefighters with two games on Saturday (July 5) and Sunday (July 6). Last weekend at Nationals Park (including one of the shows that this Michi did personally attend), the Nanners swept The Firefighters 4 (5)~1 (3) on Friday and on Saturday with a score of 3 (5)~1 (3).
Playing at Fenway is especially important to founder Jesse Cole who, when he was 5 years old, was an honorary bat boy. Jesse tells that story to his crew in this very emotional pre-game speech from last season:
Meanwhile, the Party Animals will be headlining in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley as the pinks storm into Coca Cola Park in Allentown for a two game series against the 3-6 Texas Tailgaters. The Animals, with an astounding 30-18 record this season come back from a three game series last week in Louisville against The Visitors, the Banana Ball development team. Last Thursday, the Animals managed an easy win, 4 (6)~1 (3), but things were a lot different on Friday when both teams played a run fest with The Visitors coming out on top 3 (12)~2 (10). On Saturday, the Party Animals would seek redemption putting the vizzies back in their place 4 (7)~1 (4).
For Bananas vs. Firefighters, showtimes start on Saturday at 6:30 PM (EDT) and Sunday at 3:00 PM. Saturday night’s show will be simulcasted on ESPN. Sunday’s show will also be aired on Roku Sports. The Party Animals shows will start at 6:30 PM (EDT) on Saturday and 12:30 PM on Sunday. This means for Saturday, your loyalty will be tested if you want to indulge into some live Banana Ball.
All Banana Ball shows are available free to view on YouTube at the headlining team’s channels. Remember to tune in early for the pre-show.
This Michi does recommend that you spend your weekend with this potassium rush of baseball, like you have never seen it. Both series are expected to have a lot of surprises, especially Fenway.
While it is impossible now to score 2025 tickets, you can prepare yourself for 2026 by adding your name to their mailing list so you will be the first to know about the 2026 tour. If you are a really die hard fan, I strongly suggest you join K Club, the official Banana Ball Fan Club. There are a lot of “bananafits” that come with joining the club including first dibs on tickets before they go to the general lottery. The K Club website does have a show of interest list for the 2026 season. Remember, K Club works on a seniority system so those of us 2025 K Clubbers will have our choices before any of the new 2026 members. Still, even at the bottom of the list, I had a lot of opportunities, including the Nats Park VIB (Very Important Banana) that I attended last Friday. The best $125 for a ticket I had ever spent.
Please join your Michi and let’s all go bananas this weekend, no matter which team you are rooting for!
Edited to add information about the Sunday Bananas’ headliner being aired on Roku Sports.
