In a future article, I will be giving my reflection on this game. But for now, we have a series to finish.

Game 9 will be the “skunk game”. This is the consolation match with the two losers of the semi-finals. That would be The Freezers and The Story. This may truly be a skunker for Jake Storiale, captain of The Story as he currently has no Captain’s League points at all. Whomever has the least number of points at the end of the Captain’s League series of games, their captain will lose their captainship and be relegated to pool play.

Spoilers start here…

Game 9 - (Skunk Game) The Rippers vs. The Story

This game is a modified format and will be treated as a one inning game. In the event of a push, there will be a “putt-off” which includes one drive and one putter and if there’s still a tie, they will keep going with different players.

Driving Order

The Freezers: Big Baby David (BBD), Shelfy, Dalton Feely & Dan Rourke
The Story: Jake Storiale, Zo Demalia, Jolly Olive, Lucas D’Aversa

The first inning for the Freezers will start with BBD hitting to the wall, high center, bouncing off a ceiling light fixture, back to the wall and then short of the green. Dan Rourke would get the first to a popped ball to center, picked up by Lucas. BBD would get one on the green that rolls along the lip of the short fences to get about 5 feet from home for a duck. Dalton Feely goes high center to the wall and a bobbling catch was made by Jolly Olive for the second out. Dan Rourke putts the only duck ball 5’ 4” to home base and was able to sink the putt. The Freezers have one point for the inning.

Leading off for The Story, Jake makes a nice shot to get within 4 feet of home. Jolly Olive and Lucas D’Aversa both hit into outs by Dalton Feely. In the drive from Jolly, Dalton was able to handle the ball similar to a Banana Ball “tip drill” trick play, though likely unintentional in this case. Jake was able to sink his own putt on home base from 4 feet. The Story gets a point and the inning is a push.

In the putt-off, BBD and Jake drive for their respective teams and both balls make it to the green. Shelfy, putting for The Freezers was able to sink BBD’s drive in 7 feet from home base. The Story’s putt made by Jolly Olive veered right and missed. There are no “two putts” in a skunk-off.

Game Stats

Freezers win: The Freezers 1(2) ~ The Story (0)1

The Freezers

Ducks (in regulation): Big Baby David (1).
Catches: Dalton Feely (2)
Blocks: (none)
Putts: Dan Rourke (1/1), Shelfy (0/1).

The Story

Ducks (in regulation): Jake Storiale (1).
Catches: Lucas D’Aversa (1), Jolly Olive (1).
Blocks: (none)
Putts: Jake Storiale (1/1).

Game 10 - (Championship Game) The Rippers vs. The Breakdowns

This game is played in the standard Golfball format.

Driving Order

The Rippers: Luke O’Brien, Ryan Cohen, Jack Doyle, Joez McFly
The Breakdowns: Rob Scirocco, Swilly, Jimmy O’Brien, Lou Dab

First inning

Luke O’Brien would lead off with a hit to mid right. A perfect boop (which is something that still needs to be mastered in this game) was made by Jack Doyle to put the ball on the green about 4 feet from second base for the first duck. Two drives later, Jack would go for right center and the ball was caught by Jimmy O’Brien for the first out. Joez McFly would then drive high right, landing on the green and reaching about 3 feet from home base. This was the first time in this whole Golfball series that Joez was able to achieve a duck. Luke’s second drive would go to high right center and on the way back, Rob Scirocco had the ball but then dropped it, resulting in a place putt. Ryan Cohen would then drive one to high center and caught by Lou Dab for the second out.
<div class="image-gallery-embed" data-attrs="{"gallery":{"images":[{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/d515aa64-4cb1-417a-96d0-86e94eca9b40_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/2a029d9c-157d-44d7-8e55-1adad1867cd4_1920x1080.png"}],"caption":"Jack Doyle's successful boop. Joez, just over 4 feet from home base putted into the hole but then the ball bounced out and it was two-putted by Luke for the point. Ryan would then make a putt from 4 feet to second base. Joez’s ball was a line drive that was caught by Jimmy for the first out. However, things started to take off and by the time they got through the lineup twice, The Rippers had 4 ducks on the green; a very high number for this series.

In the putting session, Jack sinks a placed putt that was originally driven by Ryan Cohen and touched by Lou Dab on the rebound. In the second putt, Joez McFly attempts a 5 footer to home base and the ball veers to the right and overshoots. Luke would recover it for the second point. With home base already occupied, Ryan Cohen would attempt an 8 foot putt on first base and the putt went wide the the right. The Rippers get two points that The Breakdowns will need to reach in order to keep this game alive.

The Breakdowns would then lead off with Rob Scirocco. Rob would hit high center and almost rolled as a hole in one but slightly missed the hole as it rolled to about 5 feet from first base. No other balls would make it on the green. The game and this Captain’s League championship would end on a Lou Dab drive to right field that was blocked by Joez McFly giving The Rippers the championship in Captain’s League Golfball. Luke O’Brien would lead off hitting to the ceiling and landing on the green about 8 feet from first base. Ryan Cohen would drive next and his shot was low and was stopped by the big tree on the green. On the second time around the order, Luke would hit one to high center and then find its way about 8-1/2 feet from home base. Ryan Cohen would hit a show that went to the ceiling and then bounce the back wall at mid-center, as the ball was bouncing on the green at a fairly fast pace, it collided with the duck that Luke had made on his second drive. The presence of the duck did slightly change the ball’s trajectory and would find its way into the river. Rippers with two ducks to play.

<picture></picture>

<g>

</g><polyline points="15 3 21 3 21 9"></polyline><polyline points="9 21 3 21 3 15"></polyline><line x1="21" x2="14" y1="3" y2="10"></line><line x1="3" x2="10" y1="21" y2="14"></line>

Luke would take the second duck to reach the green, about 8-1/2 feet on home base. The angle was perfect, the speed was perfect and the putt was perfect. For the other duck, Ryan Cohen, also going about 8-1/2 feet, this time for first base veers the ball very slightly left and about a foot short of the hole. Jack Doyle would come in to finish the putt. Rippers have set the target at 2.

Bottom of the first was a duck fest for the Rippers. Big Baby David would lead off with a duck 2-1/2 feet from third. Shelfy would follow. BBD would send a ball to the green that was so close to the edge of the river, a sneeze on other side of the room would put it in. Shelfy and Dan Rourke would both get balls on the green due to interference by Joez McFly resulting in place putts. Freezers need 3 to win the inning.

BBD, Shelfy and Dalton would all make successful first putts on first, second and home respectively. Freezers kept 3 ducks and claimed the inning.

Second inning

The second would start of sour for the Freezers as Dan Rourke flubs a ball that does not neve leave the green. Freezers’ only duck comes from a Shelfy driving going high center and then being touched by Ryan Cohen on the rebound. The ball was placed 7 feet from second base, a very popular spot for place putts. Luke would catch balls driven off of Dan Rourke and Shelfy to record the two outs of the inning. Dalton feely sinks the place putt on second. The target is set at 1.

Bottom of the second and two drivers in, Luke would make the first duck on a ceiling shot hitting the wall mid center and finding itself nestled deep in “the woods” between three potted shrubs surrounded on three sides. Ryan would go high right and would be stopped by a very impressive extended arm catch by BBD for the first out. A Jack Doyle drive would get touched by Dalton Feely on the rebound resulting in a place putt. The duck was placed 7 feet from third base. The third duck would come from a redo shot by Luke to a location 4 feet from first base. Much better than the shot in the woods. A BBD catch off the wall from Ryan would end the driving session. Jack would take the Dalton Feely place putt and Joez McFly would take the third duck from 4-1/2 feet on first base. Both putts were successful. The Rippers win the second inning and we are tied at one point a piece.

Third Inning

The inning starts with Luke for The Rippers hitting a shot off of mid-right that took a very unusual bounce to the side and made it on the green just over 2 feet from first base. Ryan would then hit one high left. Dan Rourke tried to make a backhand catch and missed. The place put was positioned for third base. Jack Doyle would then hit a line drive down the center that hit BBD in the face. Joez McFly would send one to right and was caught by Shelfy for the first out. Luke then put up a nice shot to right that came about 3 feet from first base. Ryan would then hit one to high left and was caught by Dan for the second out.

<picture></picture>

<g>

</g><polyline points="15 3 21 3 21 9"></polyline><polyline points="9 21 3 21 3 15"></polyline><line x1="21" x2="14" y1="3" y2="10"></line><line x1="3" x2="10" y1="21" y2="14"></line>

In the putting session, Jack would easily sink in the place putt on third base and Joez McFly took the 2-1/2 foot putt on first. Because first base was already occupied, Luke’s second duck that was close to first had to go to a different base. The decision was made to attempt on home base at a distance of 15 feet. Luke would put the right amount of power on it but slightly off veering slightly left. Ryan Cohen would recover it with an 18 inch putt into the hole. The Rippers set a high bar with a target of 3 ducks for The Freezers.

Bottom of the third. Dan Rourke had the first drive and he sent it to the ceiling and very high on the ride side of the back wall, the ball did a little bit of pachinko bouncing in the I-beam that supports the roof of the warehouse and then came down to be caught by Luke for the first out. On the next drive, BBD would also hit one to high right, this time right into the glove of Jack Doyle for the second out. The Rippers win the inning and the match. They will move on to face the winner of The Breakdowns vs. The Story (see below). The Rippers will face the loser of Breakdowns v Story in the consolation game.

Game Stats

Rippers Win: The Rippers 2(6)~The Freezers 1(4).

The Freezers

Ducks (in regulation): Shelfy (3), Big Baby David (2), Dan Rourke (1).
Catches: Big Baby David (2), Dan Rourke (1), Shelfy (1), Dalton Feely (1)
Blocks: Big Baby David (1), Dalton Feely (1)
Putts: Dalton Feely (2/2), Big Baby David (1/1), Shelfy (1/1)

The Rippers

Ducks (in regulation): Luke O’Brien (4), Jack Doyle (1), Robert Cohen (1)
Catches: Luke O’Brien (3), Joez McFly (1), Jack Doyle (1)
Blocks: Joez McFly (1), Jack Doyle (1), Ryan Cohen (1)
Putts: Jack Doyle (2/2), Joez McFly (2/2), Luke O’Brien (1/1), Ryan Cohen (0/1)

Michi-chan here! In other words, not much happened in this game where it would be appropriate to use our normal format for accounting these games, so we will cut to some chases…

Top of the first, Jake Storiale hit one into the river, Zo Demalia’s shot was blocked by Swilly and the shots of Jolly Olive and Lucas D’Aversa both went to high center and were caught by Rob Scirocco for the two outs. In the bottom of the first, all 8 Breakdowns would come up to make shots and none would make the green. Zo had four impressive blocks to different parts of his body, including one “Nike” style leaping catch attempt. Just do it, Zo! The inning was a wash.

Top of the second, Rob would put the first duck on the green about 3-1/2 feet from first base. Swilly and Jimmy O’Brien would have their shots caught by Jolly Olive and Lucas, respectfully. Lou Dab would make the put. The Breakdowns have one point. In the bottom of the second, Jake’s shot would get blocked by Rob Scirocco. Zo and Jolly Olive’s drives went to high center and were both blocked by Jimmy. Breakdowns win this inning.

In the top of the third for The Breakdowns, a shot to center was barehanded blocked by Zo. Lou Dab would record the first out on a Lucas catch. Swilly put a ball on the green about 4 feet from first base and Jimmy would hit one to the wall, which was caught by Zo. Lou Dab attempted the putt and it veered slightly to the left to miss. Rob made the slight tap and put it in.

Bottom of the third, Lucas lined out to Lou Dab in center. Jake would hit a shot to high right. Lucas would assist with a boop and the ball landed 6 feet from first base. Jolly Olive’s shot was a grounder to left that was blocked by Swilly. Lucas’ second drive went to mid right and was caught by Rob for the second out. Since The Story did not get two ducks, it would not be possible for them to win the third inning, only push. Since there was no winner of the first inning either, The Breakdowns were the only team that won an inning at the end of regulation. Breakdowns win the match and remain undefeated in Golfball.

The Breakdowns will go on to play The Rippers in the Championship Game that will premiere at 7:30PM ET on Thursday, July 31 on the Warehouse Games YouTube channel. That 7:30 premiere will start with Game 9, the consolation match where we will see The Freezers take on The Story. We are almost done with Golfball. So what did everyone think about this warehouse game. Three drives later, Dalton Feely will slice a shot far to the right, hitting the inner fence and staying outside of the field of play. On the redo shot, he would hit low center and the ball would be blocked by Rob Scirocco. BBD’s second drive would go high center and get caught by Rob. The Freezers get no ducks in the first inning.

On the second drive for The Breakdowns, Swilly would hit the right side wall and then the back wall mid right and lands a shot on the green, 6 feet from second base. Two drives later, Lou Dab would hit a shot that was caught by BBD. The replay showed that the ball actually touched the ground on the runway (the green strip between the tee and the opening to the green) and therefore was not considered an out. Rob Scirocco would then hit a drive to high right center which was caught by Shelfy for the first out. Next drive, Swilly hits one to the ceiling and then to high right, reaching the green and stopping just short of 4 feet from first base. Jimmy O’Brien would finish the driving session with a ball to high center, caught by BBD to record the second out.

Taking Swilly’s putt, 3 feet and 11 inches from first base, Lou Dab would putt and it was too light, coming inches short of the hole. Rob would take the two-putt for the duck. Breakdowns win the first inning.

The Freezers: Balls driven: 5 (+1 redo) ~ Ducks puttable: 0 ~ Ducks earned: 0
The Breakdowns: Balls driven: 7 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 1 (to win)
Inning result: The Breakdowns

Second Inning

Breakdowns start this time. Swilly’s lead-off went to mid left and got caught by the TV coming short of the green on the rebound. Jimmy would hit one to the ceiling off “the devastator” (the red roof support beam). It would still hit the back wall and then rebound to the green about 3 feet from first base. Lou Dab’s first drive went very low and to the right and was blocked by the tree on the fly. Rob’s first drive would go to high center and make a really nice roll on the green getting the ball to about one a half feet from home base. Jimmy’s second drive went mid right and was caught by BBD for the first. Lou Dab did deja vu where his second drive hit the same tree as the first time. This time it was hit so hard, the tree fell over. Rob Scirocco was the 8th drive and hit one high center and edged the green surface. Breakdowns get two ducks to work.

Swilly went for the duck near home base and Jimmy went for the one about 3 1/2 feet from first base. The ball would bound off the heater and is touched by Swilly on the rebound. It was called a place putt. This is due to a ground rule that the heater, which is located on an angle between the back and right walls and does protrude about 3 feet is considered as part of the back wall. Back in the second inning, Jimmy’s drive that was caught by BBD also made contact with the heater. The ball was placed 7 feet from third base. BBD and Dan Rourke would both record outs caught by Rob Scirocco.

Dalton Feely would then sink his own placed putt and The Freezers get one duck.

Bottom of the third, Lou Dab’s drive goes low and to the left (at least this time not into a tree), it hit very softly and stayed on the ground edging the back wall. Rob Scirocco would hit a drive to the ceiling and then the right part of the back wall. It would land on the green 3 1/2 feet from first base. Swilly, who is turning out to be Michi’s MVP for this tournament so far hits one mid center and it lands on the green stopping about 7 feet from home. Jimmy then hits a very careless shot that went pretty much nowhere. It just stayed on the green. Jimmy would then declare for The Breakdowns. This means that they would give up all remaining drives and putt with what they had.

On Rob’s drive near first base, Lou Dab would attempt a putt. The putt veered slightly off to the left. Rob Scirocco would then gimme putt it in for the point. Because there was no way that The Freezers could now win the game in regulation, The Breakdowns were declared the winners.

The Freezers: Balls driven: 4 ~ Ducks puttable: 1 ~ Ducks earned: 1
The Breakdowns: Balls driven: 4 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 1 (to win)
Inning result: Push (Breakdowns win due to having a lead score at the end of regulation).

This had us confused at first because the rules were originally announced that “the first team to reach two innings is the winner”. The difference between this game and games 2 & 4 was that in those games, both teams were tied at the end of regulation. In this case, The Breakdowns were up 1-0 at the end of regulation.

Game Stats

Breakdowns Win: The Freezers 0(3) ~ The Breakdowns 1(4)

The The Story would respond on the next drive where a Ryan Cohen shot would go high right and then get caught by Jake Storiale for the first out. Later, like deja vu, Luke’s second drive would go to the ceiling bouncing off the back wall high and to the right and was touched by Zo Demalia, resulting in another place putt positioned 7 feet from home base. Ryan’s second drive would go to the left wall and caught by Lucas for the second out. The Rippers had two ducks.

Of all of the putts that have been made so far in this Golfball series, the place putts were very successful. Today was no different. Jack Doyle would sink the one from third and Joez made the putt to home base. The Rippers had two points.

Jake Storiale would lead off for The Story. His first drive would be a line drive towards center that was blocked by Luke O’Brien. Through the order and back to Jake. His second drive went high center and was also caught by Luke for the first out. Zo Demalia would make a drive low center and it landed on the green about 7 feet from third base. It was now up to Lucas D’Aversa to get a second duck or a hole in one to prevent The Rippers from scoring. His shot went to high center and on the rebound, Jake attempted to boop it. It landed on the green about 7 feet from home, but it was determined that Jake reached in to the field of play when attempting the boop and the duck did not count.

With only one duck, The Story could not push the inning and therefore, The Rippers would win the first inning.

The Rippers: Balls driven: 6 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2
The Story: Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: 1 ~ Ducks earned: 0
Inning result: The Rippers

Have our rundowns of the upcoming Captain’s League Blitzball as well as Banana Ball and other stuff sent right to your email. Jack Doyle’s first drive to high center would be caught by Jake Storiale for the first out. Luke’s second drive would go to high center and was touched by Jake on the rebound resulting in a place putt 7 feet from third. Jack would drive one to mid-center, reaching the green about 4 feet from home. Luke would sink his place putt to third base and Ryan Cohen would sink Jack’s green shot 4 feet on home base. The Rippers achieved two ducks.

In the bottom of the second, Jake Storiale’s first drive went mid center and edged the surface of the green. Then, The Story had back to back outs by Jolly Olive and Zo Demalia, both caught by Ryan Cohen.

With no Story ducks to show for, The Rippers would win the inning and the The ball will bounce on first base but then land 7 feet, 8 inches from first base for the first duck. Ryan Cohen would drive next going to the high left back wall only be caught by Swilly for the first out. Both Luke’s and Ryan’s second drives would go into “the river” (the “water” hazard). Jack Doyle’s second drive will “bounce” on the river and reach about 5-1/2 feet from home plate for the second duck. Remember, there is no real water in the river.

With two ducks on the green, Luke O’Brien would attempt the putt on first base. The putt would veer to the left slightly overshooting the hole about 3 inches away. Ryan Cohen would finish the job. Jack Doyle would putt the second duck, 5’ 5” on home base and was successful. The Rippers got 2 points.

The Rippers would lead off with Rob Scirocco. His drive was caught by Luke O’Brien for the first out. Jimmy O’Brien’s drive went low right but was touched by Ryan Cohen on the rebound resulting in a place putt. It was placed 7 feet from third base. Rob’s second drive went right and landed on the green 4-1/2 feet from first base. Swilly’s second drive went to mid-center on the back wall and on the rebound, it bounced on the edge of the green surface and the ball got some significant altitude, made two bounces off the green and then a third bounce that changed direction and landed on the green about 2 feet from second base. It was an amazing shot and just underscores why I love seeing Swilly in the warehouse. Breakdowns ended up with 3 ducks.

Lou Dab would take the first putt, 4-1/2 feet on first base and successfully sink it. Rob putted the place putt 7 feet on third base and was also successful. Swilly got the opportunity to sink in her miracle shot into second base. The Breakdowns got three points and won the inning.

The Rippers: Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2
The Breakdowns: Balls driven: 7 ~ Ducks puttable: 3 ~ Ducks earned: 3
Inning result: The Breakdowns
<div class="image-gallery-embed" data-attrs="{"gallery":{"images":[{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/9d2efce9-9251-46ff-a142-66237a68ff37_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/c7e3ec30-5774-48e4-8d6b-f0151253bf67_1920x1080.png"}],"caption":"Swilly's reaction after making her \"miracle shot\" that bounced out and then mysteriously back in. Jimmy O’Brien would lead off with a ball popped up and caught by Ryan Cohen to record the first out. Lou Dab would tee off next. His drive went to the high center of the back wall and was touched by Joez McFly on the way back, resulting in a place putt, that was put 7 feet from third base. Rob Scirocco would then go high right and that ball was also caught by Ryan. Swilly would then successfully sink the place putt, 7 feet of third base. The Breakdowns have 1 point in this inning.

The Rippers would lead off with Joez McFly, who hit a very low ball to the right wall and did not reach anywhere near the green. It was declared a dead ball and we moved on. Next, Luke O’Brien would go high right. This ball would be successfully booped by Ryan Cohen and the ball ended up nearly 3 feet from the second base hole. Ryan Cohen would then hit off the ceiling and high center and Lou Dab would make a diving catch for the out. Jack Doyle made a nice shot to the high center of the back wall. It came back to the green 4 feet from first but on a diagonal path to the base. A ball hit by Luke would go high right and there was an opportunity for Joez to boop, but that boop was boffed, being directed away from the green. Ryan’s second drive would also be caught by Lou Dab for the second out. Jack Doyle successfully sank the first duck on second base and Joez McFly scored on sinking a 4 foot putt on first base. Rippers get two points, beating The Breakdowns to win the inning and now the match is level with one inning each.

The Rippers: Balls driven: 7 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2
The Breakdowns: Balls driven: 3 ~ Ducks puttable: 1 ~ Ducks earned: 1
Inning result: The Rippers
<div class="image-gallery-embed" data-attrs="{"gallery":{"images":[{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/580b89cb-8624-4e57-b79c-588ec8610e63_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/66074b66-5007-4eb6-8ddd-e971194d73fa_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/94409257-2dab-480f-b58f-8fbb4b10a9eb_1920x1080.png"}],"caption":"Lou Dab going into a diving catch of a shot by Ryan Cohen. The Rippers would lead off with Luke O’Brien who hit one to high right. His brother Jimmy attempted the catch and although he successfully made the catch, he would lose his balance and slide into the temporary walls that were used to mark the field of play. The Ripper’s second out would come from another drive by Luke. This time it also went high and to the right. It was bobble caught by Rob Scirocco.

Leading off for the Rippers was Swilly who hit a line drive and hit Luke’s forehead, bounced to the right wall and then Jack Doyle was able to make the catch. Lou Dab would get the second out on a high center ball caught by Luke.

Neither team achieved a duck and the inning was a push. We are still level, so we are going to extra innings.
<div class="image-gallery-embed" data-attrs="{"gallery":{"images":[{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/caceacfd-17fe-4df1-a839-4efadde53d92_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/e7c662e6-5baa-4057-85a4-dca93a85eaaf_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/7fbc11fa-aea7-4446-8d93-44ae531f0ec8_1920x1080.png"}],"caption":"Jimmy taking a catch, losing his balance and crashing into the boards. If still tied after 5, a round of “closest to the pin” is done to determine the winner.

In the fourth inning, the only successful ball as from Luke O’Brien from The Rippers. The ball would land 7’ 9” off first base. Ryan Cohen’s putt attempt veered to the left and overshot the base. There are no “two-putts” in extra innings. For The Breakdowns, Jimmy O’Brien’s drive would go high center and then into the river. No points earned, so we move to the fifth.

In the fifth inning, both Swilly’s and Jack Doyle’s drives make it to the green. Joez McFly putts for The Rippers. His putt, about 8 feet on home base came up short. Lou Dab then attempts to make a 6 foot on first base. The putt was just a little too powerful, because it sunk in the hole, but the velocity made it come back out. Still no winner.

In the sixth inning, Rob Scirocco for The Breakdowns hits it high center and it rolls right into the river (about 9’ away from the tree, which is used as the pin). Jimmy, in his “commissioner” role states that since the ball went into the river, the only way The Rippers can win is if they are able to have the ball end up “on grass or sand”. Otherwise The Breakdown would win. The Rippers sent up Luke O’Brien. Luke’s shot goes high and to the right. Ryan Cohen would attempt to boop the ball but booped it in the totally wrong direction. As announcer Jake Storiale put it, “HE BEEFED IT!”. Breakdowns win.

<picture></picture>

<g>

</g><polyline points="15 3 21 3 21 9"></polyline><polyline points="9 21 3 21 3 15"></polyline><line x1="21" x2="14" y1="3" y2="10"></line><line x1="3" x2="10" y1="21" y2="14"></line>

Breakdowns celebrating a win in extra innings as a “beefed” Two drives later, Dalton Feely would hit a grounder that hit the wall but then was touched by Lucas D’Aversa who thought he was playing Floorball, resulting in a place putt. The duck was placed 7 feet from home base. Dan Rourke would then give the ball a light tap that landed right in Jolly Olive’s glove to record the first out. BBD would then come back and hit a grounder towards left. The ball was hopping slowly but it had the right hop to just find its way on to the green. This is the first we have seen this in the Golfball series. After two additional drives by Shelfy and Dalton Feely that were blocked by Jake Storiale and Jolly Olive respectively, Dan Rourke’s drive sliced right and did not pick up any air and hit the fence out of play. In his redo, the ball would go in the same direction but this one did pick up some air grazing the fence and was blocked by Jake. Freezers get 3 ducks to work with.

In putting, BBD would attempt to sink the placed putt 7 feet from third base and was able to get it in. Shelfy attempted BBD’s first duck, making a 6 foot shot to the home base hole. Dalton Feely had to do a 12 1/2 foot putt on second base. This is a fairly difficult one. His putt veered wide to the right and came up short. Dan Rourke’s attempt on the two-putt also veered right and it was still short. In Golfball, the holes are square like if this was a Minecraft game and making the diagonal shots can be tricky, especially where it comes to the placement of the “backboard”, a one foot piece of wood that is used to help keep the ball in the hole. Freezers end the inning with 2 points.

Leading off for The Story, Jake Storiale hit a beautiful shot to high center, as it was rolling on the green, it was bobbling slowly and actually went into third base but then bobbled out stopping about 9 inches to the hole. This is the closest drives we have seen so far. Jolly Olive would then hit one to high center and on the rebound, Dalton Feely attempted the catch and couldn’t hold on. This resulted in a place put that was placed 7 feet from home base. Zo Demalia, normally from We Got Ice hits to low center, the ball would ricochet off of a shrub pot and land in a nice spot 5 feet from first base. Lucas D’Aversa would hit one to the right and get caught by Dalton Feely knocking him down on his bum to record the first out. Jake would achieve a 4th duck by hitting low towards center but then touched by Dan after the bounce. A second place putt for The Story. This time, it was placed 7 feet from second base. A Jolly Olive drive would then get caught by BBD to end the inning.

The Story has four ducks but only needs three to win the inning. Zo would take the first putt, 7 feet on home base and make it. Lucas would then attempt a 4’ 7” straight shot on second base, but he putt too lightly, coming up short. Jake would then take the putt another foot and a half to get the point. Jolly Olive then took Jakes first drive that was inches from third base, an easy gimme putt. The Story wins the first inning.

The Freezers: Balls driven: 8 (+1 redo) ~ Ducks puttable: 3 ~ Ducks earned: 2
The Story: Balls driven: 6 ~ Ducks puttable: 4 ~ Ducks earned: 3
Inning result: The Story
<div class="image-gallery-embed" data-attrs="{"gallery":{"images":[{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/47a9b886-edec-4486-a401-dcb95a05156e_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/db9eabdf-1ea1-4bff-9cab-280096a0c8db_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/da4cd57f-7f9d-4d13-9f4e-7cc3bde9e369_1920x1080.png"}],"caption":"First Inning: Jake's shot that made it close to the third base hole. Zo Demalia hits one to high right. This ball was successfully booped by Lucas D’Aversa and stopped about 7 feet to first base. Jake Storiale and Jolly Olive would put two more ducks on the green, also near first base. This is going to be a huge challenge for The Story as you cannot put two balls consecutively into the same base and as all of the ducks are in line for first base, The Story will need to find a way to make this work.

Zo would putt the ball that was driven by Jolly Olive. The 4 foot attempt on first base veered to the left and overshot the hole. Lucas, from about one foot away, gets the point on the two putt. This is going to be an issue for The Story as they had to give up their two putt on what would have been the easiest of the putts to attempt. Now with no lifeline and no option to go to first base, Jake attempts to take Zo’s first duck ball and send it to home base. The 10 foot putt attempt veered to the left and it was missed. With the two putt already used, The Story only gets one point in this inning.

Freezers need one to tie and two to win. First up is BBD who hits one to high center, skips over the river and ends up about 5 feet from home base. BBD’s second drive goes high left and then the ball pachinkos, first by a ba boop off of Dan Rourke and then off the tree to reach about 7 and a half feet from third base. The Freezers will go to the green with two ducks.

In putting, BBD would sink his first duck 5 and a half feet from home base and Shelfy would sink in BBD’s second duck from 7 and a half feet to third base. The Freezers wins a point and we are tied.

The Freezers: Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2
The Story: Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: Dan Rourke would hit to the wall, high and to the right to get the first duck just over 4 feet from first base. BBD’s drive was juggled and dropped by Zo Demalia for a place putt put 7 feet from third base. Shelfy would hit the ceiling bounding to low center and then rolls on the green to the right fence shelf stopping about 3 feet from home base. The duck streak was broken when Dalton Feely lined one to the center wall only to be caught by Jolly Olive. The Freezers have 3 ducks.

Dan, BBD and Shelfy all successfully make their putts without having to use the two putt. The Story are now chasing four points in order to win the match.

In the bottom of the third, Jolly Olive sends one low center that hits the shrub and ends up three feet from first base but on a tricky diagonal angle to the hole. Ducks were also made by Jake going into the bunker about 4 feet from second base, Jolly Olive to 4 feet from first base, Zo to about 2 feet from first base and Jake again hitting high center with the ball going to 2 feet from home base. 5 ducks for The Story.

In the putting round, Jolly Olive, playing Zo’s duck, would successfully sink the 2 foot putt. Zo would come up to take Jake’s second duck 2 feet from home base. Despite commentators Jimmy and Jack Doyle agreeing that the putt should be a gimme, Zo, after respositioning his body a body a couple of times tapped it too light and veered slightly to the right. This was a huge mistake for The Story as they really needed that two putt for one of the other ducks. Lucas would finish the job and The Story will get a second point. They still need two more.

Despite closer ducks available, Jake decides to work the bunker ball. While the nearest hole is first at 10 feet 10 inches away it can’t be played because of Jolly Olive’s putt going into that base (there must be two sinks on other bases before a base can be reused). Jake looked towards third base which was about 13 feet away. From where the ball is in the bunker and how the surface is laid out, I can understand why he was looking at going to third instead of first. Going to third would give the ball some time to roll in the sand before coming up to the green where going towards first would likely launch the ball in the air sending it out of control (which he can’t do anyway because of the rule). While the ball had the right exit out of the bunker and a good velocity, Jake nudged it a little too far to the left and missed the hole. The Freezers win the inning and the match.

In this case, Jake really had no other choice. Jolly’s first drive was close to first, but first was already occupied and his second drive also would have worked to first base but not much anywhere else.

<div class="image-gallery-embed" data-attrs="{"gallery":{"images":[{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/e348145e-822b-4445-bf72-ae4080ea5f26_1920x1080.png"},{"type":"image/png","src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/0826f2a5-7b46-469b-aaae-06080f9d864b_1920x1080.png"}],"caption":"Third inning: Zo's game saving putt just missing. Jake Storiale’s The Story takes on Jimmy “Jomboy” O’Brien’s The Breakdowns.

Driving order

The Story: Jake Storiale, Jolly Olive, Zo Demalia, Lucas D’Aversa
The Breakdowns: Rob Scirocco, Jimmy O’Brien, Swilly, Lou Dab

Spoilers start here!

Thanks for reading Michi-chan Sports! This would be immediately followed by Jolly Olive with a pop-up to left that would be swept by Swilly for the first out. Two drives later, Lucas would send one screaming mid center with the roll to eternity on the green ending up about a foot and a half from home plate. Jolly Olive would then hit one high left on the wall to be caught by Jimmy for the second out.

With two ducks on the green, Zo would easily sink Lucas’ ball, a foot and a half from home plate. For the second duck, Lucas attempts a 6 foot, 3 inch putt on second base and comes in short. Jake uses the two-putt from 2 feet and makes it. Story picks up two in the inning.

Rob Scirocco makes his Golfball debut with a ball that rolled right to Jake’s left foot and then Jimmy would hit one to high center to be cleanly fielded off the wall by Jolly Olive for the first out. Next up, its girl power in the warehouse (even though she was called a “guy” in the Shady Rays ad) as Swilly hits the wall, low center. The ball actually bounces inside the first base hole before bouncing out and ending up about 4 1/2 feet away from the base. In Golfball, if a “hole in one” is achieved, that will count for two automatic points towards winning the inning. Rob’s second stroke went to the ceiling bouncing off the wall at high center and landing near first base about 2 feet from Swilly’s duck. Jimmy’s second stroke would go high right, tapped off Jolly’s glove like an unintentional Banana Ball trick play and caught by Jake for the second out.

With The Breakdowns also putting two ducks on the green, Swilly attempts to putt from about 4 1/2 feet to first base and comes up less than a foot short, Lou Dab would finish the job on the two putt. Since Rob’s duck was very close to Swilly and you can’t putt two consecutive balls into the same hole, Rob Scirocco, who may be considered the best real golfer in the warehouse had a challenging putt attempt to make. He had to go to home base, which is about 10 feet away and mid way, there’s a tree just to the right of his path. The warehouse gods must have been smiling because Rob was able to make that putt. Breakdowns also pick up two and the inning is a push.

The Story: Balls driven: 6 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2
The Breakdowns: Balls driven: 6 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2
Inning result: push.

Second Inning

Second inning will start with the Breakdowns. Jimmy’s first shot is high right and after the bounce, Jolly tries for it and missed it. Since the ball did touch Jolly’s hand, it was considered a place putt (where the ball can be placed 7 feet from any base on the green) and the first duck for the Breakdowns. Lou Dab would then go off the ceiling then high center and get about 5 1/2 feet from the third base hole. Breakdowns will have a challenge getting this one in because of how close the water hazard is in the path to the base. Going completely though the order, we are back to Lou Dab who hits his second stroke to high center and picked up by Jolly Olive for the first out. On the last stroke of the inning, Rob Scirocco would hit to the ceiling, bounce high center and takes the ball to 3 feet from home plate for the third duck going into the putting session.

In the putting round, Jimmy would take the placed putt ball was able to sink it 7 feet to third base. Swilly attempts Rob’s ball 3 feet from home. She taps a little too hard sending the ball another two feet past home base. Like in the first inning the postman (Lou Dab) rings twice and fixes the issue. Finally, with third base already occupied by Jimmy’s putt, Rob Scirocco has to take a putt 16 feet to second base over the water hazard. He only got half way. Breakdowns pick up two in the inning.

In the bottom of the second, despite Zo’s dramatic putting on of the golf glove, they made eight strokes and was not able to manage getting a ball on the green part of the green. Breakdowns win the second inning. They need to win two innings for the match, so we will move on to the third.

The Story: Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: 0 ~ Ducks earned: 0
The Breakdowns: Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: 3 ~ Ducks earned: 2
Inning result: The Breakdowns.

Third Inning

The third inning starts with The Breakdown. Jimmy’s first stroke slices right again, staying out of play. The redo also goes right, but this time in play. It was caught by Jake for the first out. Three strokes later, Rob would send one that double ricochets on the ceiling, bounces high center and then into the glove of Lucas D’Aversa. Breakdowns get no ducks.

For The Story, Jolly Olive would lead off, hitting the left TV and then just barely makes it over the threshold of the green stopping about 4 feet from third base. Six strokes later, Lucas goes high right. Rob touches the ball after the bounce resulting in a place putt that was put 7 feet from home plate. Two ducks for The Story.

Jolly Olive would sink in Rob’s place putt ball at home plate, enough for The Story to win the third inning. The game is tied at the end of regulation at one inning a piece.

The Story: Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 1
The Breakdowns: Balls driven: 4 (+1 redo) ~ Ducks puttable: 0 ~ Ducks earned: 0
Inning result: The Story.

Extra innings

We are only two games into this Golfball series and we already get a view into the entire extra inning process. Two innings (the fourth and fifth) will be one stroke and one putt with no defenders in the field. The sixth inning will be “closest to the pin”, the “pin” being the potted tree moved to a more central location on the green.

In the fourth inning for The Story, Jake would hit the ceiling but not the back wall, calling for a redo. The redo stroke goes high center, skips over the water and stops 5 feet from home plate. Jimmy’s stroke for The Breakdowns would once again, slice right, landing in play but edges the raised green. Jimmy really needs to work on those slices. Zo will then attempt Jake’s ball, which landed at a strange angle from the hole. Since the recessed holes are square, some shots, though close may be challenging. Zo’s putt goes wide to the right and he misses the hole. Still no winner after four innings.

On to the fifth inning and Swilly for The Breakdowns would hit one off the left TV and would land 4 feet from third base. For The Story, Jolly Olive would go high off the right wall. It lands in play and misses the green. Lou Dab would attempt a near 4 foot putt but like what happened with Zo in the fourth, Dab’s put would veer to the right missing the hole. We go to the sixth.

In the sixth where the object is to get the ball on the green and closest to the tree, Rob Scirocco would hit one high center and it would roll to the area near home plate nearly 13 feet from the tree. For The Story, Jake goes low center and the ball would roll to the edge of the green and stop. As Rob’s ball was the only one to make the green, it is closest to the pin, giving The Breakdowns the inning and the win.

Breakdowns Win. The Story 1(5) ~ The Breakdowns 2(7) (6 innings).

Game Stats

The Story

Ducks (in regulation): Lucas D’Aversa (2), Jake Storiale (1), Jolly Olive (1)
Catches: Jolly Olive (2), Jake Storiale (2)
Blocks: Jolly Olive (2), Jake Storiale (1), Zo Demalia (1)
Putts: Jake Storiale (1/1), Jolly Olive (1/1), Zo Demalia (1/2)

The Breakdowns

Ducks (in regulation): Rob Scirocco (2), Swilly (1), Jimmy O’Brien (1), Lou Dab (1)
Catches: Swilly (1), Jimmy O’Brien (1)
Blocks: Swilly (3), Jimmy O’Brien (3), Lou Dab (3), Rob Scirocco (1)
Putts: Jimmy O’Brien (1/1), Lou Dab (2/3), Rob Scirocco (1/2), Swilly (0/2)

Full Game Details

A full stroke-by-stroke rundown of this game by Michi-chan Sports can be found by clicking here.

Game 3 will air Thursday (July 17) at 7:30 PM EDT on the Jomboy Media Warehouse Games channel. We open this season with Captain Dan “Shelfy” Robinson’s The Freezers vs. Captain Jack (We Got Ice) Doyle’s The Rippers.

The “driving order” (as opposed to “batting order”) for The Freezers is: Big Baby David (BBD), Dalton Feely, Shelfy and Dan Rourke. For The Rippers: Luke O’Brien, Ryan Cohen, Jack Doyle and Joez McFly.

Thanks for reading Michi-chan Sports! This ball cannot be further played. Dalton Feely would drive his ball with a good bounce off the wall on to the green. This ball would roll into the bunker. Unlike the river, the ball can be played from the bunker. Shelfy’s first shot bounced off the wall, it bounced off the of glove of Joez McFly who then stretched to make the bare handed catch, recording the first out. Dan Rourke’s first attempt was a slight tap that did not get any air, it just rolled over and off the green. This was a missed opportunity.

Going through the driving order again. BBD hits the first clean ball of the series landing between second and third base. Dalton’s second ball stops short of the green (the green is a raised surface). Shelfy’s second ball did not gain much air, reached the back wall and then rolled back to the edge of the green. Dan Rourke, wearing that he will “hit the f*ing ball this time” slices right hitting the wall outside the field of play. This is a redo. Second attempt, ditto. The third attempt stays in the field of play, low and to the right and caught by Joez McFly for the second out. It does not matter because that was the last ball. The Rippers move to putting with 2 balls puttable.

Putting

BBD attempted about a 7 foot putt to second base and was successful earning a duck. Dalton Feely attempts a 9.1 foot putt out of the bunker to the home plate hole. Because of the edge of the bunker, the attempt curved left and went behind the base to an area in the lane where balls are driven from (the “landing strip”). The Freezers invoke the “two putt” rule that allows them one chance to attempt a second putt to make the point. Shelfy easily makes the two-putt. The Freezers earn two ducks for the inning.

Balls driven: 8 (+1 redo) ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2

The Rippers

Driving

Luke O’Brien’s first drive made the green near first base. There are some “trees” to possibly contend with. Ryan Cohen’s shot bounced to the ceiling and was fielded by Dan Rourke for the first out. Captain Jack Doyle’s first drive attempt is driven straight to the butt of BBD and ricocheted left, never made the wall and missed the green. Joez McFly takes low flight and reaches the edge of the green.

Back around to the top of the order, Rippers currently have 1 puttable duck. O’Brien makes a clean hit to land on the green very close to first base. Cohen’s ball bounced and went towards the left fence, which was accidentally moved inward by McFly. We could speculate whether this error would have allowed the ball to barely reach the green. Doyle nails one to the back wall right and was cleanly fielded by Feely for the second out. Rippers have 2 puttable ducks.

Putting

Joez is going to attempt 10 foot putt to home base between two tree obstructions and he finds the path and sinks it. Cohen attempts a short putt on first, and missed it but recovers on the two putt.

Balls driven: 7 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2

Both teams earned two ducks and the inning is a push.

Second Inning

Order reverses.

The Rippers

Driving

Doyle’s first drive, fielding attempt by BBD who could not hold on resulting in a “placement putt” that can be put at any location on the green at 7 feet from a hole. The duck was placed 7 feet from third. Solano’s ball rolls and fielded before the wall. O’Brien makes a solid shot right, reaches the green, bounces on first base and then works its way to the wall. (Hole in ones are possible.) Cohen makes a clean hit landing near third base.

Doyle’s second drive was clean and ended up on the wall shelf (inside the field of play) and is puttable. McFly bounces low right fielded by Rourke for the out. O’Brien lands in the river. Cohen ends at the edge. Rippers will be putting 4.

Putting

Doyle makes an 8 foot putt on home. McFly will putt the ball that ended up on the wall shelf. It will be placed on the green a putter head length from the wall structure. He’s keeping his feet inside the field even though he can step outside. 7.3 foot putt on home was successful. O’Brien attempts on first, veers left and comes short. Two-putt will be from about a foot away and is successful. Doyle will attempt on third, and successful. The Freezers will need to contend with The Rippers picking up 4 ducks.

Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: 4 ~ Ducks earned: 4

The Freezers

Driving

Roarke went right and stopped 4 feet from first. BBD is having difficulty keeping the ball on the tee. (He has it upside down) BBD hits left and comes short. Feely pops up to Cohen for the out. With a primal scream by the defense, Shelfy rolls to center and misses the green.

Roarke caught off the wall by Obrien for the out.

Balls driven: 5 ~ Ducks puttable: 1 ~ Ducks earned: 0

Second inning goes to The Rippers.

Third Inning

The Rippers

Driving

McFly goes to center but edges the green. O’Brien reaches the green near home. Cohen dunked in the river. Doyle down center blocked by BBD.

McFly hits right and the ball pachinkos off of several things in the warehouse before landing in Feely’s glove for the out. O’Brien towards the right corner and edges the green. Cohen drive was touched by Rourke and will be placed near third base. Doyle goes center but edges the green. Two ducks puttable.

Putting

McFly, 3 foot putt on home, successful. O’Brien 8 foot putt on third, successful. Rippers get two ducks.

Balls driven: 8 ~ Ducks puttable: 2 ~ Ducks earned: 2

The Freezers

Driving

BBD bounces into O’Brien’s glove for the first out. Feely’s ball bounces out of play to the left and a boop attempt by Rourke was made. It was called a placed putt. Shelfy grounds to O’Brien. Rourke lines to center, blocked by Cohen.

BBD goes right bounds and lands in the river. Feely goes center caught by Cohen for the out. Rippers win the point.

Balls driven: 6 ~ Ducks puttable: 1 ~ Ducks earned: 0

Rippers Win. The Freezers 0(2) ~ The Rippers 2(8).

A note from Michi: I am currently experimenting with how we are going to format these stories. I am not 100% happy with this version of how we presented this. larger and is now closer to the side walls and looks more like a real baseball diamond.

There are still 8 tee shots made by the offense players (4 players per team taking two shots). The foam ball is hit by a golf club. It must still hit off the back wall. Playing in the field the defense team will have their four fielders located between the green and the back wall. The offense team can continue hitting balls until either 8 balls are hit or two outs are recorded. An out is recorded when:

A fielder catches the ball on the fly after it bounces off the back wall; or

A fielder is able to prevent the ball from hitting the back wall (similar to a “2” in Ball in Play).

If the fielder touches the bounded ball and the bobble it or otherwise lose control of it, the offense team will be allowed to do a “gimme” and place the ball 7 feet from any of the four holes.

If two outs are made, any remaining tee shots are forfeited and the half of the inning moves on to the second part.

The ball must stop rolling on the green. At that point, a rubber duck is used as a ball marker.

After all of the tee shots are made, the duck ball marker is replaced by a regular baseball. There are four “bases” which are recessed square-shaped holes. In order to score a “duck”, the offense player will use a putter and try to putt the ball into one of the four holes. That same hole cannot be putted into for at least two more putts. The other holes must be used. If the putt misses the hole, then all remaining balls are withdrawn, however, once per inning, per team, a second putt can be made in order to get the ball into the hole.

Borrowing a Banana Ball rule, the team with the most ducks (points) in their half of an inning wins the inning. Win the inning, win a point. Therefore, if each team wins an inning, they win a point. The first team to two points wins. (I have posed the question to Jomboy about what would happen if both teams achieve the same number of ducks in a single inning resulting in a tie).

Michi’s take

Of all of the games that have been introduced in the warehouse so far, Golfball is definitely the “most original” concept and should be an interesting watch. From a configuration standpoint, it is the first discipline of Warehouse Games where the game play originates from the “inner” wall (where the loft is). It will be interesting to see how this plays out considering that there does not appear to be many golfers at JM. If this ever goes to a franchise series, I could only imagine the collaborations.

JM has not yet released a schedule for Golfball but it is likely that episodes will air on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Here are the basics:

Each team has four players and two teams play against each other.

The object is to get the ball onto the green and then putt a ball into one of four recessed “bases” on the green surface area.

The game is played in innings like baseball.

The defense stands in the field of play as shown above. They are wearing standard baseball gloves.

Each offense player will use a metal golf club to hit the foam baseball to try to get it on or as close to the green as possible. The “tee off” will continue until each offense player has teed twice (going in sequence) or while teeing off, the ball is “fielded” by one of the defense players to make an out. An out happens when the ball is fielded directly on the fly or off the back wall (where the monitors are) and then caught without it hitting the ground. Each side is allowed two outs in an inning.

The foam baseball is replaced with a duck as a ball marker (prevents rolling from another player’s ball).

After all 8 offense shots are made or two outs are made (whichever comes first), then we go to the second part.

The duck is replaced by a regulation baseball. The offense player takes a standard putter and attempt to putt it into one of the four bases. If the putt is successful, a point is earned. If the putt is missed, then the team forfeits all remaining putts in the inning and the teams switch sides.

This may seem a bit confusing and yes, I am still a little confused about it. Today, the Warehouse Challenges channel had released video of an experimental version of the game. JM states that this version was only a prototype and there will be changes before the Captain’s League 2 episodes air later this month.

Here is the prototype game video that they released. The video does outline some of the additional rules and shows the rules and skills being applied:

It is important to realize that Warehouse Games episodes are recorded months in advance and like TV game shows, they usually record more than one episode per day.

This is going to be a very interesting new thing to look forward to from Warehouse Games and it will be interesting to see how many golf memes they put into it. Golfball will start as a Captain’s League event with The Breakdown, The Story, The Rippers and The Freezers. If successful, the chances are that it will become a franchise within Warehouse Games.

I am looking forward to seeing this new experiment play out. I will reserve my judgment until after a couple of games are played. The Warehouse Games channel will air an introduction and draft video premiering on July 10, 2025.

So, no more Warehouse Baseball5 / Warehouse Baseball

Originally, Jomboy Media was planning to add a different baseball-based game. It was going to be called Warehouse Baseball5, which was based substantially on the game Baseball5, which is played internationally and is a discipline of the governing body, the World Baseball Softball Confederation.

While that warehouse game was originally going to be called “Warehouse Baseball5”, it apparently was changed to just “Warehouse Baseball” as noted in the Captain’s League 2 Ball in Play Draft.

<a class="image-link
